Kristin Manwaring Insurance (KMi) is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented team administrative professional to join a fast-paced and growing company.  KMi has been serving the Port Townsend community for over two decades, offering individuals and businesses a variety of insurance options with the personal touch of small-town customer-focused service.

The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for a broad range of clerical duties, data entry and analysis, client support, customer service and general assistance to the team of insurance brokers.  The ideal candidate is self-motivated, has a strong technical acumen, able to produce professional reports and presentations, motivated to learn, and naturally inquisitive and detail-oriented.

Summary: Quimper Mercantile Company (QMC) -a community owned general store in Port Townsend WA - is seeking a motivated and experienced Retail Buyer/Merchandiser. QMC provides a variety of unique products for the Port Townsend community.

The ideal candidate has recent experience in product buying (e.g. apparel, shoes, etc.),proven ability to work well with vendors, willingness to travel to buying shows, experience with point of sale (POS) database, strong communication skills, proficiency in Excel, attention to detail, product merchandising skills, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.

Primary Areas of Responsibility:

Merchandising duties include monitoring inventory, collaborating with staff to develop attractive floor displays, maintain knowledge of product items and negotiating with vendors to get the best price for QMC.

Purchasing duties include making purchasing decisions, analyzing requisitions and current product movement, collaboration with managers to identify needs and refine future orders, cultivate new sources and suppliers, review quotes and bids, and monitor bid and purchasing process for QMC.

This is a part-time position (25-30 hours/week) with the potential to move to full-time in the future. Compensation is $15-18/hour D.O.E. Benefits include paid sick leave, employee discounts and bonus program.
